Bella was raised along with her siblings in Tūrangi for most of her childhood. She recently completed her fourth year of a conjoint degree in a Bachelor of Health Sciences majoring in Māori Health and a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Finance at the University of Otago in Dunedin.

Bella feels fortunate to secure an internship with Hei Āhuru Mōwai over the summer period, working primarily with the Operations Team to review literature and survey members to identify priorities for the work programmes of pae ārai puku (expert prevention, early diagnosis & screening rōpū) and pae haumanu (expert treatment, clinical, service delivery rōpū). Bella looks forward to working with the Hei Āhuru Mōwai team and learning new skills while networking in this space.
