Ko au ko Ngāti Naho, ko Ngāti Naho ko au, he piko he taniwha, Waikato Taniwharau.
Ko Maurea, ko Horahora ōku ūkaipo, nō te whānau Wirihana me te whānau Manukau tēneki mokopuna e mihi matakuikui ana ki a koutou katoa.
Ko Marley Jenkins ahau
I have worked in the Education Sector for the majority of my working career in varying roles and across a multitude of Institutes. In 2014 I was afforded the opportunity to work in the US, at an Indigenous Research Centre for the University of Duluth, Minnesota, and had the honour to Project Manage their conference.
The last 3 years in my capacity as a Sole Trader, I have had the privilege to continue to work in the Education sector, working in the Health & Disability sector as an employment facilitator and working in the Iwi space within the Waikato rohe.
It is my pleasure to be a part of WICC and Hei Āhuru Mōwai to help ensure a successful conference for all those who are involved and attend. Cancer has touched my whānau, as I am sure it has for way too many people not only here in Aotearoa, also globally. I am excited to do my small part in this mahi as Project Manager supporting the Taumata and Project Steering Group to make a change, promote and educate.
No reira, e ai kī a Kīngi Tāwhiao
Ki te kotahi te kākaho, ka whati, ki te kāpuia, e kore e whati
If a reed stands alone, it can be broken, in a group, it cannot.
