Robyn O'Dwyer
Cancer Care Navigation Service Manager
Robyn is of Te Rarawa and Te Aupōuri decent, and her cultural heritage is central to her practice. She actively integrates tikanga Māori into her work, ensuring that Māori values and perspectives are respected in healthcare delivery.
Robyn is a Nurse Practitioner Whānau Ora with over 20 years of experience in primary and community healthcare, both in New Zealand and internationally in both clinical and leadership roles. With a Bachelor of Nursing and Master’s in both Nursing and in Applied Research, Robyn is a passionate advocate for nursing with a particular focus on empowering the nursing workforce and improving Māori health outcomes.
In addition to her clinical work, Robyn has significant experience as a health consultant where she has supported NGO's and private and public organisations with strategy, operational planning, business development, performance monitoring and the new service development. Her broad expertise and leadership has contributed to the advancement of both healthcare practice and the equitable distribution of health services in Aotearoa.
Robyn’s career is driven by a strong sense of social justice and a passion for improving health outcomes for all communities, particularly Māori, through innovation, collaboration, and a focus on holistic care. She and is deeply committed to addressing health inequities and has extensive experience working alongside Hauora Māori and Pacific providers across New Zealand to help them achieve their moemoeā (aspirations).
